Coolum Weather & Climate

During summer temperatures can reach up the mid 30’s, which is all the more reason to spend as much time on the beach as possible while you are here. South easterly’s usually blow in over the Pacific Ocean to cool things off and temperatures can drop to a comfortable temperature of a night time of around 22-26 degrees. With these hot temps storms can often occur but only to pass through to drop the temperature a bit!

Winter of course temperature drop but still the sun is always shinning! You can expect temps to be at around the mid 20 during the hottest part of the day and fall to around the mid teens come nightfall. Sometimes something cooler is needed but you will never have to completely rug up! Winter can also bring the occasional shower during the winter months but when it is raining you can still visit an array of indoor attractions that are sure to delight the whole family.

Other attractions within the Sunshine Coast are the wonderful shopping that you can do! Shop in internationally standard boutiques and browse through huge shopping centres with over 200 specialty stores. For the more adventurous pack a picnic and climb Mt Coolum for a spectacular view of the Sunshine Coast, or embark on one of the many water sports for your delight. Swimming in safety at Coolum Beach which is patrolled is always great for the kids, as well as for you, so you can just kick back and relax under the warm summer sun.

The markets at Eumundi offer something for everyone and a day trip to the Blackall Ranges brings you to Montville and Maleny which are two small towns with so many fascinating arcades, alleys and boutiques to wander through.
